Partner Programs & Processes

Touchtone Corporation is an IBM Premier Business Partner, a member of the ISV Advantage™ Initiative and a member of the IBM Tools Network™. All Touchtone products – including Wintouch –, QuestView and ThinView are IBM iSeries ServerProven™ solutions.

Referral Partner

  • Compensation: 10% of User and Server licenses
  • Duties: Locate opportunities, refer to Wintouch salespeople
  • Expectations: An occasional referral
  • Geography: International and US
  • Cost to join: None

Sales Agent

  • Compensation: 25% of User and Server licenses
  • Duties: Locate opportunities, communicate to Touchtone that they are pursuing given accounts (avoid conflicts with WT direct sales efforts), perform demonstrations, build relationships with senior managers, manage the ongoing relationship.
  • Expectations: Aggressive sales efforts, quarterly sales, when "up-to-speed" on the product, creation of their own proposals, ability for Touchtone to refer good prospects to the partner to get them closed.
  • Sales Expectations: minimum one sale per quarter.
  • Geography: International and US
  • Cost to join: None

Distributor Partner

  • Compensation: 40% of User and Server licenses after initial apprenticeship at the Sales Agent level. This arrangement allows for sales and implementation training, relationship planning, training and certification on technical issues, etc. This process has proven to be the most effective in helping our partners be successful. The Sales Agent level provides a 25% commission on licenses.
  • Duties: Locate opportunities, handle all the sales, relationship, customer service and after training and certification, handle technical support efforts of Touchtone accounts. Provide implementation and tech support personnel. Be available (or arrange for coverage) whenever the client needs help.
  • Requirements:
    1. A current client list of AS/400 clients
    2. At least 1 RPG Programmer in-house
    3. At least 2 full-time Sales personnel
    4. At least 1 full-time Tech Support person in the office
    5. Knowledge of OS/400 applications, API’s and integration requirements for DB2 and other database platforms
  • Expectations: A technically savvy AS/400 "shop" with personnel to perform all customization, tech support and sales management necessary for the client and market. Aggressive sales efforts are expected with numerous opportunities that are communicated throughout a 12-month period.
  • Sales Expectations: At least one sale per quarter.
  • Geography: International and US
  • Cost to join: $5,000 sign up and training fee or purchase of a minimum of 5 Wintouch eCRM User licenses and one Wintouch Server license for in-house use at standard prices for implementation support and training. These fees may be refunded, based on future sales of Touchtone products.
